Portfolio > Chromamatrix

The Chromamatrix body of work features more than one canvas. The canvases relate as "communicating vessels" where one influences another. Ricocheting color dominates the painting process where all the canvases change in relationship to each other. Even twos are not binary opposites but rather pairs in constant relationship.

Chromamatrix paintings play against that old canard of monochrome painting reducing the field of painting to an endpoint of just one color. Here a color begins a new game of colors that move and change endlessly while painting.
